Flyway 2019, Set re-design commissioned for Ballet Memphis, Spring Mix Performance

Flyway was originally commissioned by Ballet Memphis as a sculptural set piece by Erin Harmon in Fall 2014. In 2019 the concept for Flyway was reworked as a 17-minute long projected animation in collaboration with artist and musician Kyle Statham. The inspiration for the design was the North American route of avian migration known as the Mississippi Flyway. The brilliant choreography by Steven McMahon and the visual elements within the set design are both meant to reference the patterns and peculiarities of birds.
